Our philosophy, backed up by the latest language aquisition research, is the opposite. We believe that the more we can make the students speak the more they will learn.

We will teach you Spanish FAST and in a FUN, NATURAL way. Instead of using just grammar exercises we recreate the environment that children learn languages in, using role plays, mimicking and lots of practice to get you communicating as soon as possible.

Of course we teach grammar as well, and we have our own specially developed curriculum, but grammar is always backed up by lots of practice.

Pricing and payment policy:

At The Spanish Cat we believe in paying our staff decent wages, in a country where wages are notoriously low.

We also try to protect the environment as much as possible by using green energy and recycled paper where available.

If you find our prices too high for you and would still like to come and stay, send us an email and we will try our best to help you.

To make sure that your stay with us is as personalised and exclusive as it is enjoyable, there are usually only 8 rooms available at The Spanish Cat, plus a number of nice families available to accommodate students.

During summer only (July and August) we have 13 rooms available.

Due to our limited spaces and the fact that people often need to book well in advance to stay with us, payment is as follows:

Within 7 days of making your booking we require a US$500 deposit, which is only refundable if your cancel at least 6 weeks before your visit.

The remainder of the funds are payable upon arrival at The Spanish Cat, upon which they are no longer refundable.

If you cancel within 6 weeks of your visit, you will be liable to pay 50% of the total cost of your stay, minus the $500 already paid.
