We offer accommodation either at the school or with a homestay family.
Accommodation at School
Looking for a little luxury?
Accommodation at the school is in large, comfortable rooms with the following facilities:
- Wireless internet and cheap International phone calls - keep in touch with family and friends back home and let them know what a wonderful time you’re having.
- Ensuite bathrooms - no need to share a bathroom or walk too far in the middle of the night!
- Swimming pool - especially nice in the warmer months.
- All meals are delicious healthy food catering to specific diets if necessary- no need to spend money on restaurants or worry about getting sick
- Large Comfortable beds
- Staff available 24 hours a day to help you if you need it or just practice your Spanish with.
- Books to read
- Over an acre of gardens to wander around and enjoy Mexico’s perfect weather
- Just a short stroll into town which you can visit either by yourself or with a guide
Prices at the school
One of the bedrooms at the school
Female Dormitory (Shared room for single female students) - $300 per week
Private rooms:
Single (Double bed - private ensuite) - $500 per week
Two people (King bed or a double and a single bed - private ensuite) - $850 per week
Three people (beds as required - private ensuite) - $1000 per week
Group of Four: including all meals (beds as required - private ensuite) - $1100 per week

Prices for Homestay
Accommodation with a homestay family:
- Practice your Spanish more. As most of our homestay families don't speak English, you will be forced to practice your Spanish all day every day.
- Get a firsthand experience of Mexican life: all our families are traditional Mexican families and will not only show you the amazing hospitality for which Mexicans are known but will show you many interesting things about their culture as well.
- Cheap: if you don't mind slightly less luxurious accommodation (you have to share a bathroom, beds are single or sometimes double, and rooms are smaller than those at the school) then this is a great way to save money and extend your stay.
Homestay is in a traditional Mexican house
All homestay accommodation includes basic rooms, shared bathrooms, and simple meals (except lunch which will be taken at the school Monday to Friday).
Individual: US$220 per week (single bed).
Couple: US$400 per week (double bed).
This type of accommodation is not suitable for families.
Airport Pickup and Return:
We offer an airport Pickup and Return Service from Mexico City airport (Benito Juarez), including someone to meet you at the airport and transportation costs, for US$150 each way.
We normally recommend that students pay for the pickup service, and then make their own way to the airport when returning (by then your Spanish should be good enough!), but we are happy to accompany you both ways if required.

Pricing and payment policy:
If you find our prices too high for you and would still like to come and stay, send us an email and we will try our best to help you.
To make sure that your stay with us is as personalised and exclusive as it is enjoyable, there are usually only 8 rooms available at The Spanish Cat, plus a number of nice families available to accommodate students.
Due to our limited spaces and the fact that people often need to book well in advance to stay with us, payment is as follows:
Within 7 days of making your booking we require a US$500 deposit, which is only refundable if your cancel at least 6 weeks before your visit.
The remainder of the funds are payable upon arrival at The Spanish Cat, upon which they are no longer refundable.
If you cancel within 6 weeks of your visit, you will be liable to pay 50% of the total cost of your stay, minus the $500 already paid.
